- Moved to Los Angeles in 2000 after living several years in New York where she started her professional career.
- Winner of the 1995 Brit Award for International Breakthrough Act.
- In college, she played in bands with 'Duncan Sheik' (qv) and, with 'Liz Mitchell (I)' (qv) called "Liz and Lisa".
- Daughter of Gail Loeb and Dr. Peter Loeb of Dallas, Texas.
- Publically calls herself a "baco-vegetarian". Although Jewish, and tries to avoid all other forms of meat, she loves eating crispy pork bacon.
