Coming from a non-industry family, her first "big break" came when she was introduced by her high school principal, to his niece, an industry professional who ended up guiding Lisa in Los Angeles and treated her as family.
Born Lisa Marie Hoover, her parents named her after Lisa Marie Presley.
She was accepted to both Pepperdine University and Loyola Marymount University. She enrolled at Loyola Marymount University for Theater and Film Studies; however, as she began to work as an actor she has indefinitely deferred her enrollment to pursue her career.
She is a huge animal lover. She has three dogs she treats like children. Two teacup chihuahuas and a Border Collie Mix she rescued from a film set on location.
She has 2 older sisters and a younger brother.
Although she is very close to her family, she moved from Ohio to Los Angeles alone just after graduating high school. She booked her first job within two weeks of arriving in Los Angeles.
