Son of 'Beau Bridges (I)' (qv).
Born and raised in and around Los Angeles, he was raised along with four siblings by his dad, biological mother (Julie Landifield) and stepmother (Wendy Treece).
Before earning his bachelor's degree, Bridges spent his junior year in England studying at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, staying at a tiny basement flat in Chelsea, eating lots of chicken noodles and attending West End theater productions on free passes.
He married artist 'Carrie Eastman' (qv) in three different ceremonies: twice at the Burning Man arts festival in 2002, and once in a relatively traditional ceremony on January 2, 2003 in Kaua'i.
He is a graduate of Bard College where he studied performing arts.
He attended the progressive Oakwood school with a strong emphasis on the arts, which got him interested in acting. He followed it up as a theater major and literature minor at New York's Bard College.
As a child actor, he acted in two television films: _The Kid from Nowhere (1982) (TV)_ (qv) directed by his father, and _The Thanksgiving Promise (1986) (TV)_ (qv) starring the entire Bridges family. However, he chose not to continue working as a child actor, so he could be just a regular kid.
