- Johnny Wright began his musical career in 1979 with 19 years as a DJ at a radio station in Massachusetts. Nearly ten years later, in 1988 began doing business with Maurice Starr The New Kids On the Block. Soon after, the New Kids took a sabbatical, so Johnny decided to open a dance club called Snap. Then he moved to Orlando, Florida, where he still lives.
- Johnny Wright has been musical manager of New Kids On the Block, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Stevie Brock, Ciara, Jonas Brothers, Jessie James, Jon O'Shaughnessy, Katelyn Tarver, Males Jow, Mark & James, Menudo, Sullee and Midwest City, among others.
- In 1993 partnered with producer Lou Pearlman and two years later created the group Backstreet Boys. In 1996, Johnny Wright heard and contract a teenager group called *NSYNC. Johnny Wright, could afford to be Wright International Records and Entertainment (WIRE), an independent discography.
- In 2003, served as a judge on the NBC reality show, "Fame", hosted by one of his former clients, Joey Fatone of the group * NSYNC. In 2005, Sean "Diddy" Combs decided to form a new group of girls in MTV "Making the Band 3" and asked Johnny to help him find the perfect combination of beauty and talent to form "Danity Kane". In 2006, his company Wright Entertainment Group (WEG) introduced the Jonas Borthers; and in 2007 to Mark & James, Katelyn Tarver, Jon O'Shaughnessy and Sullee. Another creation of Johnny Wright was the television program called "Making Menudo," which aired in late 2007.
