A seasoned player with the Williamstown Theatre Festival, he once played Mr. Webb in a 1959 production of "Our Town" that featured 'Thornton Wilder' (qv) himself as the Stage Manager.
Classical and musical stage actor for almost four decades, best known with audiences for his marvelous baritone singing roles but well regarded as a Shakespearean performer.
