BIOGRAPHY:

Joan Jett rose to fame in the 1970s all-girl rock band The Runaways. Her cover of "I Love Rock and Roll" was a number one hit in 1982; "Crimson and Clover" was another hit for her. Jett has appeared as Columbia in the Broadway production of "The Rocky Horror Show".


TRIVIA:

• Though there have been several attempts to reunite Joan's old band, the Runaways, Jett has stated that they always fall apart because former bandmate, 'Lita Ford' (qv), walks out on the rehearsals. Ford is usually the instigator of the reunions.
• Same birthday as 'Catherine Oxenberg' (qv).
• Seen in the 2000 Broadway revival of "The Rocky Horror Show" as the character, Columbia.
