BIOGRAPHY:

Jenny Lewis was born on January 8, 1976, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her acting debut was in a Jell-O commercial. During the mid-1980s, her parents divorced and she moved with her mom, Linda, to Los Angeles, California. In 1999, she gathered a couple of her friends, Blake Soper, Pierre De Reeder, and Dave Rock, and formed the band Rilo Kiley.

• She once appeared on the TV game show _"Card Sharks" (1978)_ (qv), hosted by 'Bob Eubanks' (qv), as a contestant during a teen or junior week of the game.
• She has starred with both 'Fred Savage' (qv) (in _The Wizard (1989)_ (qv)) and 'Ben Savage (I)' (qv) (in _Big Girls Don't Cry... They Get Even (1992)_ (qv)).
• Her first solo album, "Rabbit Fur Coat," was released in January 2006. Her second solo album, "Acid Tongue" was released in September 2008.
• Lead singer of Los Angeles-based band 'Rilo Kiley' (qv).
• As well as providing the lead vocals for her band 'Rilo Kiley' (qv), she also does backup vocals in the band "The Postal Service" on some tracks.
