BIOGRAPHY:

Jenji Leslie Kohan is an American television writer, producer and director.

Kohan is the creator, executive producer, show runner, and head writer of the Showtime comedy-drama Weeds, starring Mary-Louise Parker.

In the final episode of Weeds season 6, played a brief cameo at the airport.

Kohan has earned seven Emmys nominations and one win, as supervising producer of Tracey Takes On. Kohan won a CableACE Awards in 1996. She received her first nomination for her show Weeds in 2009, for Outstanding Comedy Series. Jenji was also nominated for a Producers Guild of America Award in 2007, and two Writers Guild of America Awards.

Jenji is married to author Christopher Noxon and has three children. She is the sister-in-law of Marti Noxon.

Jenji has written episodes for Sex and the City, Gilmore Girls Will & Grace, Weeds, The Stones, Tracey Takes On..., Boston Common, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Mad About You and Ned & Stacey
