BIOGRAPHY: Jeffrey Duncan Jones was born in Buffalo, New York. He is a very tall, fair-haired character actor who is recognized all over for his excellent work. He is a veteran stage actor having such plays as "The Elephant Man" and Neil Simon (I)'s "London Suite" under his belt. His first film role was in The Revolutionary (1970).

- Father of actor 'Julian Coutts' (qv).
- Originally planned on a career in medicine.
- He went to London in 1969 to attend the London Academy of Dramatic Art for four years. Afterwards, he ventured to Canada to perform with the Stratford Theater, in Ontario, for three years.
- Used the same, chilling voice in the _"Tales from the Crypt" (1989)_ (qv) episode (Season 5, Episode 9: Creep Course 10 November 1993) as he did as the possessed Dr. Walter Jenning in _Howard the Duck (1986)_ (qv).
- Attended and graduated from high school in Putney, Vermont.
- In November 2002, after having been accused of hiring a 14-year-old boy to pose for sexually explicit photographs, Jones was charged with one felony count of employing a minor for purposes of taking sexually explicit photos and a misdemeanour count of possessing child pornography and released on $20,000 bail. In July 2003, after pleading no contest to the felony charge, he was placed on a sex offender register, given five years probation and ordered to undergo counselling. The misdemeanour charge of possession or control of child pornography was dropped.

- In 1974, he joined the famed Actors Theater of Louisville for roles ranging from 'William Shakespeare (I)' (qv) to "Frankenstein".
