Born in Kansas but moved to Ohio at 9 years of age.
His family moved from Lawrence, Kansas to Centerville, Ohio when he was 9 years old.
Studied at drama schools in Dennison and Ohio and after a while he got a scholarship to the Yale School of Drama, but only stayed for one year before moving to Hollywood.
Has 2 younger brothers.
He is also a talented sculptor and is responsible for many limited-issue plastic model kits over the last twenty years. His favorite subject appears to be classic movie monsters in the style of the Aurora kits of the early 1960s.
Brother of special effects expert and director 'Kevin Yagher' (qv).
Brother-in-law of 'Catherine Hicks' (qv).
Jeff was originally cast as Officer Tom Hanson on _"21 Jump Street" (1987)_ (qv) but was replaced by 'Johnny Depp' (qv).
