BIOGRAPHY: Jeff Lam was raised in Honolulu Hawaii on the Island of Oahu, with two loving parents, Kenneth and Mona Lam, alongside his younger sibling Jennifer. Graduated from Moanalua High School and went on to do odd jobs from the Disney Store, Tower Records, and DJing at local clubs. Ultimatly helping out at Family owned restaurant JJ Diner in Kapahulu, famous among locals in Hawaii. (Recently closed after the lease expired and the lot was purchased by VONS.)
Jeff knew he was destined for bigger and better things. Since he was 10 he had the dream to go to Hollywood and become a Superstar! On May 2001, he packed his bags on a sudden whim to pursue his dreams. With 6 boxes, a half running Car, and $1000 to his name.
Struggled his first year and a half in Los Angeles, with hardly having any money to live or eat. When he got his first big break in Brad Paisleys music video, "Celebrity", it was alongside Jason Alexander (I), William Shatner, and James Belushi! The video was nominated for Country music video of the Year for 2 years running. Currently still rotating on CMT as one of their Top 100 videos requested.
He appeared in the 2005 feature films "A Lot Like Love (2005)" with Ashton Kutcher and "Herbie Fully Loaded (2005)" with Lindsay Lohan.
Has 2 theatrical films coming out in 2007!! First is "Balls of Fury (2007)" starring Christopher Walken, Hawaii local boys Jason Scott Lee and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, also local girl Maggie Q The second is "Love Is the Drug (2006)" starring Daryl Hannah, Lizzy Caplan and John Patrick Amedori.
Rencently wrapped a new film with Emily Rios, Perrey Reeves and Richard Edson called "Vicious Circle (2008)". And worked on Nick Cannon (I)'s newest show ""Nick Cannon Presents: Short Circuitz" (2007)". They're calling it the "MADtv" (1995) of MTV!!!
TRIVIA:
- When first starting out in 2001, he met 'David Blue (III)' (qv) at an ESPN commercial callback. Both of them ended up not booking it. But as fate allowed, the both of them met again a week later on a Microsoft commercial shoot, alongside 'Bo Barrett' (qv), son of Production Designer 'K.K. Barrett' (qv)! From that day, they've all became great friends and hang out on a regular basis!.
- Originally up for the Series Regular role of Teng for ABC's show _"The Knights of Prosperity" (2007)_ (qv). Ultimately, the role was cut out of the series. The series was canceled due to low ratings up against "American Idol".
- Met his two closest friends, 'Cathy Shim' (qv) and 'Leonard Wu' (qv), while shooting on the set of _Love Is the Drug (2006)_ (qv)!.
- In 2005 he was a series regular on a new show called _"Ding Dong Feng Shui" (2005)_ (qv) for ABC Family that was filmed in Boston. It was promised an 8 episode order. After filming the Pilot episode, ABC Family had put the show on hold, during the time 'Michael Eisner (I)' (qv) was being asked to resign from his position at Disney. During this transition, they decided to halt production until further notice, awaiting new management for development at ABC/Disney. After months on hold, the show was shelved for creative differences between the networks and the creators.
- Has a diverse group of friends, 'David Blue (III)' (qv), 'Bo Barrett' (qv), 'Bill Parks (III)' (qv), BenDavid, and 'Michael Bower (I)' (qv). The Next Wave of Hollywood!!.
- Had a Hawaiian homecoming working on the New Scooby Doo Movie _Aloha, Scooby-Doo (2005) (V)_ (qv) as the Narrator. Alongside local girl 'Tia Carrere' (qv) and Hawaii's very own 'Don Ho' (qv), doing the song for the film "That's How the Islands Say Aloha"!.
