BIOGRAPHY: Born and raised in Vancouver, Jason graduated from the University of Calgary in 1996 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He moved back to Vancouver and spent four years performing at Vancouver TheatreSports, five years doing stand-up comedy and ten years working in Television and Film. He has appeared in over fifty films and television shows and over one hundred commercials.
When he's not acting J.B. writes. His first full-length play, The Dissemblers was purchased and produced by Touchstone Theatre. He was the script consultant on the HGTV series She's Crafty. His first foray into commercial writing resulted in a TV and Radio campaign for the B.C. Epilepsy Society. He also directed the radio component. J.B. is the creator and host of CBC Radio's "The Strip Mall": Vancouver's Only Alternative Lecture Series.
For the past three years he has co-hosted a popular variety show with David Milchard called "It's Good to Know People". His comedy duo Chris & Bev are popular headliners having performed from L.A. to Toronto.
Upcoming appearances include "Mistresses" and "Dr. Doolittle V" both for FOX. Recent Television campaigns include Tim Horton's, Future Shop and BC Tourism. Radio campaigns include Bojangles, Encorp, and MTS. A new on-line series of which Jason was co-writer/performer can be viewed at youtube.
In 2006 CBC's "This Space for Rent" (in which J.B. was a lead) was a Leo Award Nominee for Best Comedy. He was a Canadian Comedy Award nominee - Best Male Improviser for "It's Good to Know People" in 2007. In 2005 he was nominated for Best Live Performance for "The Lucky Eights Show". In 2004 he won The Georgia Straight Award for Best Comic 1st Runner-up.
Jason has performed across Canada, the US and Europe. He is represented by Collingwood Management, Artistry Management, Paradigm Talent and CESD. He resides in Los Angeles and Vancouver.
