- Her mother, Mieke Frankenberg, passed away at 92 in England due to complications from a stroke [October 2, 2007]. She was in a Japanese concentration camp during World War II for three and a half years.
- Her house was used for recording 'The Cure' (qv)'s "Wild Mood Swings".
- She is the daughter of a British obstetrician and his Dutch wife. Thanks to her mother, Miss Seymour is also able to speak Dutch very well, which she once briefly demonstrated in an interview with the Dutch television.
- Her mother, Mieke, recently suffered a stroke [September, 2007].
- She and 'James Keach' (qv)'s longtime friendship with 'June Carter Cash' (qv) and 'Johnny Cash (I)' (qv) led to the Cashes guest-starring on Seymour's television program _"Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" (1993)_ (qv) and to Keach producing the Cash biopic _Walk the Line (2005)_ (qv).
- Was one of two actresses to screen test for the role of Meggie Cleary in the epic mini-series, _"The Thorn Birds" (1983)_ (qv). The other actress was 'Rachel Ward (I)' (qv), who ended up winning the part because producers thought Jane wasn't "vulnerable" enough.
