BIOGRAPHY: Jack Narz's career in television spans nearly 30 years. After the service and a short but productive stint in local radio, Narz started in television late in 1950 as announcer on early-TV classics like "Space Patrol" (1950) and "Life with Elizabeth" (1952). Moving on to host the trouble-prone "Dotto" (1958) and "Video Village" (1960), Narz worked steadily in radio and TV until achieving his biggest success with the syndicated version of "Concentration" (1973) in 1973. After "Concentration" (1973) left the airwaves in the fall of 1978, Narz semi-retired, but he remains active to this day on the celebrity golf circuit and on behalf of several charities.
TRIVIA:
- Brother of 'Tom Kennedy (III)' (qv).
- Wife Dolores (Dodo) has been a flight attendant for TWA since the 1950's and was still flying for TWA's purchaser, American Airlines, in 2001.
- Narz was the host of the popular quiz show _"Dotto" (1958)_ (qv) until the show was abruptly canceled when it was revealed that the sponsors were rigging the game's outcome to allow more popular contestants to win regularly. Narz was apparently not involved in nor aware of any manipulation that was going on.
- Brother-in-law of 'Bill Cullen (I)' (qv).
