He can currently be heard on radio stations in a series of commercial spots, starring Vince and Larry, the crash test dummies. The series of commercials -- of which there are currently three -- are new versions of a series of TV ads, which Burns did with the late 'Lorenzo Music' (qv). Burns is the voice of Vince.
Started out in stand-up as one-half of the comedy team "Burns & Carlin" with 'George Carlin' (qv). After the duo broke up, Jack went on to become a member of the famed Second City comedy troupe in Chicago, where he met 'Avery Schreiber' (qv). He and Schreiber would perform as a comedy team for several years before Jack would go on to become the head writer on the first season of _"The Muppet Show" (1976)_ (qv).
