Dashing, black-haired Mexican-born actor who had the handsome attractiveness of a 'Rudolph Valentino' (qv) or a 'Ramon Novarro' (qv), but remained in the minor ranks throughout his career, primarily in westerns and intrigue.
In the classic "The Lone Ranger Rides Again" (1955) TV, he played Collins, the double crossing scout who leads John Reid and The Texas Rangers into ambush.
Although he appeared in hundreds of films over his long career, he is best remembered as 'Guy Williams (I)' (qv)' stately father in the 'Walt Disney' (qv) _"Zorro" (1957)_ (qv) series.
