BIOGRAPHY:

Gema Zamprogna, is a gifted actress and dancer who has appeared in many productions seen around the world. Her portrayal of the Baroness Ursula in the miniseries "By Way of the Stars" was enjoyed in Europe and North America, while her featured role as Amanda in "Defense of a Married Man" was seen by audiences across the U.S. One of her earliest leading roles, the double role of Macki/Mac in the television movie "The Challengers", was an immediate hit in both Canada and around the world, becoming a perennial favorite of young audiences. She has appeared with many symphonies as a dance soloist, including the Florida Symphonic Pops in Boca Raton, Florida.


TRIVIA:

• Gave birth to her second child, a boy named Sam on May 8, 2006. Was originally scheduled to appear at Road To Avonlea's First Official Cast Reunion the day before, but could not attend because she went into labour.
• Gema Zamprogna's father is Lou Zamprogna who owns a dance studio in Hamilton, Ontario. He is seen in many movies, most notably as a bottle dancer in Fiddler on the Roof.
• Sister of 'Amanda Zamprogna' (qv) and 'Dominic Zamprogna' (qv).
• Gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Ella in November 2004
