A stage and screen actor of extreme versatility, Frank Langella won acclaim on the New York stage in "Seascape" and followed it up with the title role in the Edward Gorey production of "Dracula." He repeated the role for the screen in Dracula (1979) and became an international star. Over the years he has done occasional films but prefers to concentrate n his first love, the legitimate theatre. His stage performance ranged from Strindberg drama ("The Father") to Noel Coward comedy ("Present Laughter"). He also appeared in several productions for the New York Shakespeare festival.

- He won an Obie Award in 1965 for "The Old Glory".
- Studied acting at Syracuse University with 'Larry Hankin' (qv) and 'Carl Gottlieb (I)' (qv)
- Along with 'Christopher Lee (I)' (qv) and 'Richard Roxburgh' (qv), one of the few actors to play both Dracula and Sherlock Holmes.
- He won a supporting Tony in 1975 for "Seascape".
- Requested to be uncredited for the role of Minister Jaro on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine because he did the show for his children not exposure or money.
- Italian-American.
- Was one of the last actors cast for _Masters of the Universe (1987)_ (qv).
