BIOGRAPHY: Emanuel Kiriakou received his first guitar at the age of six (one that turned his hands green!). The following year his father gave him his first electric guitar. And before he was even a teen, he was playing in his father's Greek band. It was by this time the young musician knew what he wanted to do, and set out to do so. He attended Ohio's Youngstown State University where he got his Bachelor's Degree in Classic Music.
It was during his college years that he worked at his family's Greek restaurant as a cook and also taught guitar lessons. After college, Eman moved to Minneapolis and taught at the Music Tech School; teaching classes in Music Theory and Song Writing. Eman didn't teach there long and moved on to record for an exclusive line of music for Target called 'Lifescapes'. During his stint with them, Eman recorded over 20 albums and produced many as well. It was also this time frame that Eman was writing well-known commercial jingles, over a 100 for anyone from Burger King to BMW. Eman even won a Clio Award for his Miller Light jingles ('This is Dick').
By the late 90s Eman moved to NYC and moved on in his life. His sights were now set on making his own music, he had already established himself as a session guitarist and song writer, but bigger things were waiting in the wings for him. Pretty soon Hollywood was knocking on his door. He scored a full length feature movie, Achilles' Love (2000), had three other songs appear in movies and had his music heard on popular television shows.
It was in August of 2000 that he met singer/actor Joey McIntyre for the first time. Together they gave fans the CDs 'Meet Joe Mac' (released May 2001) and 'One Too Many' (released May 2002). During these two CDs and a tour, Eman finished his first CD and released it (January 2002) through his website. It wasn't long after that, that Eman was back in the studio working with new talent. During the 'One Man Show with Two People' tour, Joey would graciously take a back seat while Eman treated fans to his music from 'Favorite Enemy'. As Joey himself put it, "I call him (Eman) the Dark Prince. When the concerts start, all eyes are on me. When they end, all eyes are on Eman." Truer words could never be spoken.

- In High School, Eman played basketball and baseball (left field & catcher).
- Eman has played all types of music from Classical to Heavy Metal.
- His Greek name is Manolis.
- When 'Favorite Enemy' was first available, if you bought it from his website Eman would personally autograph it for his fans.
- Eman refuses to say just how many instruments he actually can play. But fans know he plays piano, guitar, percussion, the bouzouki, lamazorah as well as other instruments.
- Started playing in his father's Greek band when he was 12.
- Another song of Emans, 'I Shut Down' appeared on the _Teaching Mrs. Tingle (1999)_ (qv) soundtrack.
- Was approached by 'Tom Hanks' (qv) and 'Rita Wilson (I)' (qv) to use some of his Greek music in their movie _My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)_ (qv).
