Elizabeth Marvel (born November 27, 1969)[1] is an American actress.[2][3][4]
Biography Marvel was born in Mohnton, Pennsylvania.[5] She studied at Juilliard School.[6] She has several credits on Broadway and in film and television. Marvel was a series regular on The District, and has appeared in two films by the Coen Brothers: True Grit[7] as the adult Mattie Ross, and Burn After Reading. In 2009 for her performance in Fifty Words, she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Play.[8] She has won Obie Awards for her work in Thérèse Raquin, Hedda Gabler, A Streetcar Named Desire and Misalliance[9]. On television she has appeared on Lights Out, Nurse Jackie, The Good Wife, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, and Person of Interest.[10]
