Son of 'Ed Begley (I)' (qv).
Worked for eight years as a stand-up comedian and also worked on TV commercials as an assistant cameraman prior to embarking on an acting career.
He is best known for his portrayal of Dr. Victor Ehrlich on the television series _"St. Elsewhere" (1982)_ (qv), for which he received an Emmy nomination during each viewing season.
Was part of a comedy duo in the '60s with 'Michael Richards (I)' (qv).
Attended Stella Niagara Education Park Cadet school in Lewiston, NY.
He keeps his father's Oscar at home and proudly displays it.
Children: Amanda Begley (b. October 3rd 1977) and Nicholas Taylor Begley (b. January 4th 1979) with 'Ingrid Taylor' (qv).
