She and 'Humberto Ortiz' appeared together in 'Marblehead Manor' (1987), 'Born in East L.A.' (1987), 'Dollman' (1991) and '�Three Amigos!' (1986).
Frustrated by the lack of positive roles for Latino actors in Hollywood, she began doing stand-up comedy in clubs throughout the Los Angeles area. Her East L.A. "cholita" character, Ramona from Pomona, is now a favorite with Latino audiences everywhere. Ortelli, as she is known to her friends, has performed at The Improv, The Comedy Store, The Ice House & The Laugh Factory, among many other comedy clubs. She is also a member of 'The Hot & Spicy Mamitas'.
