BIOGRAPHY:

An extremely cute Siberian Husky, Draco was only 7 months when he got the role of 'Diefenbaker' in the TV series "Due South" (1997) in February 1997. He has brown eyes, is of average build and size and has reddish-brown overtones on his back. He was an energetic, quick learner loved by the whole Due South crew, and was trained by Rick Parker, who also did stunts on the show. In the 3rd and 4th season of Due South, Draco replaced 'Lincoln', another siberian husky, who was the original Diefenbaker, because Lincoln was becoming too slow and difficult to work with. Fans loved Draco so much that at one point, he would receive more fan mail than any of the other cast members!

TRIVIA:

Worked with 'Callum Keith Rennie' (qv) in Twitch City (1998) and Due South (1997)
Trained by "Rick Parker", of Canadian Wranglers.
In the Due South episode "Perfect Strangers", the bandage around Draco's paw was real. His trainer Rick Parker said that he had Draco on the Canadian Wranglers grounds, when Draco decided to swipe some food from a black Jaguar's cage. The Jaguar then grabbed Draco's paw,and Rick heard a yelp and ran to see what happened. Fortunately for Draco, he only required 26 stitches which all healed without infection.
Had eye surgery to remove cataracts
Draco's sister, Cinder, did many of his stunts.
