TRIVIA:
  • Best known for her role as 'Sidney James' (qv)'s wife in the hugely popular 1970's sitcom _"Bless This House" (1971)_ (qv). Nearly 25 years later she appeared with another of Sid's famous leading ladies, 'Barbara Windsor' (qv) from the Carry On film series, when they worked together in the soap opera _"EastEnders" (1985)_ (qv).
  • Dubbed the singing voice of 'Ursula Andress' (qv) in _Dr. No (1962)_ (qv).
  • Her initial ambition was to be a ballet dancer, but a horseback-riding accident prevented her from pursuing that career.
  • She was a patron for National Lupus UK, a charity for people with systemic and discoid lupus.
