- Mother to Benjamin and Lily with spouse Ed Bogas.
- Desiree wrote the first two (out of three) theme songs for the popular animated series "Garfield and Friends," and she and her husband Ed Bogas co-wrote the songs for the Garfield segments of the show for the first three seasons. She has composed and been a vocalist for numerous Garfield specials and has voiced various supporting characters in the Garfield universe, including Nermal the kitten.
- A two time Grammy nominee. Has enjoyed a singing and voice-over career for over 20 years. Character voice credits include: Betty Boop, Barbie, Nermal, Petunia Pig, Honey Bunny and numerous others for radio, television and toys.
- Received two Grammy nominations. One for the Disney Records release "Flashbeagle," and another for the CBS/Epic recording "Here Comes Garfield."
- Owns Lightchild Publishing; a small music publishing company that specializes in Inspirational music.
- Music Director for Music Ministry Team at Unity In Marin. Instructor at Voice One, a school for voice-over and acting training.
- Appeared as Betty Boop in the 1984 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, about five months before "The Romance of Betty Boop" (in which she starred) aired on CBS.
