- Second choice for the part of Sandy in _Grease (1978)_ (qv) after 'Susan Dey' (qv). Dey passed and producer 'Allan Carr' (qv) had Raffin in mind before a fateful dinner at 'Helen Reddy' (qv)'s house where she invited a fellow Australian singer, 'Olivia Newton-John' (qv).
- Studied acting with both drama coach 'Milton Katselas' (qv) and with 'Kate Flemming' (qv) at the National Theater in England.
- Daughter of actress 'Trudy Marshall' (qv)
- Was originally supposed to play Molly Bell in _The Jazz Singer (1980)_ (qv). The part went to 'Lucie Arnaz' (qv) instead.
- Starred in the made-for-TV movie "Nightmare in Badham County" (1976), which was a huge hit as a theatrical feature in China. Raffin became the unofficial ambassador from Hollywood to China. She arranged meetings between Hollywood luminaries and Chinese leaders and filmmakers to secure distribution of Chinese films in America and American films in China. Raffin was also nominated for an Emmy for her performance in the picture.
