BIOGRAPHY: A native New Yorker, born to James "Bud" Wilson and Norleene Mary MacDonald, David Wilson was raised on Long Island. A scholar/athlete, his stage debut came opposite Patti LuPone ("Evita", "Sunset Boulevard") as Emile de Becque in their senior production of "South Pacific" in 1967. David went on to attend Columbia University in Manhattan. Bitten by the acting bug, he left college in the spring of 1969 to attend The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater, where he studied with the legendary Sanford Meisner. After graduating, David started his career on the stages of New York and Chicago while moving on to TV and film. He later extended his stage, film and TV career to include work in all three disciplines in Stockholm, Sweden. Thrice married and divorced, he is the proud father of five. Still in love with acting, he is writing and producing for stage, screen and television.
TRIVIA:
- He is the eldest surviving actor to have played the role of the Man of Steel on television. Only Bob Holiday, the original Broadway Superman, is older, having turned 75 in 2007.
