Stepdaughter of 'Tim Pelt' (qv). The head-on 1977 auto accident that proved fatal to Pelt occurred during the second season production of the TV series _"What's Happening!!" (1976)_ (qv), in which Spencer was a cast member. She was a passenger in the vehicle and suffered a broken left arm and facial injuries.
(1996) She became a veterinarian.
