Father of actress 'Stephanie Shea' (qv)
In the episode "200" (#10.6) Dan Shea's character Sgt. Siler gets shocked by an overloading Stargate, and is thrown across the room. He then grouses "Why does this always happen to me?!?!", which is an in joke since Shea is a stunt double AND stunt coordinator for the show. Thus yes, it will always happen to him.
An eye injury prevented him from becoming a professional hockey player and turned him to stunt-work and acting.
Along with 'Gary Jones (I)' (qv), he is one of only _"Stargate SG-1" (1997)_ (qv) guest stars to appear in all ten seasons.
