He was awarded the 1994 Joseph Jefferson Award Citation for New Work for "Son of Fire" at the Bailiwick Repertory Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.
His musical, "Pope Joan," at the Bailiwick Repertory Theatre in Chicago, Illinois was awarded the 1995 Joseph Jefferson Award for New Work for Musical.
