BIOGRAPHY: Carol-Ann Plante has an honesty to her music that cuts right through to your soul, grabs hold and doesn't let go. She combines the purity of Sarah McLachlan with the down-to-earth, approachable style of Sheryl Crow. She can be classified as folk, pop, acoustic, and she'll even throw in some country, once in awhile. Her favorite artists are Patty Griffin and John Hiatt, so you'll often find their songs peppered through her performances. Also, look for her music on movie soundtracks and television shows. Carol-Ann grew up in Harrison, New York and has been singing her entire life. She started out with musical theater and eventually landed a role on Broadway, all the while tearing through tons of recording studios in New York City as a jingle singer. By the tender age of 15, she decided to change the scenery. She flew to Los Angeles with her parents and starred in a 3-year FOX television series called "Harry and the Hendersons" (1991). Acting was a great experience, but singing is her number one focus. She's passionate about music and there's nothing she'd rather do than sing her heart out. Carol-Ann plays acoustic guitar and classical piano, and graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors degree in English Literature.
