BIOGRAPHY:

Candice Accola (born May 13, 1987) is an American actress and singer, best known for her work on The Vampire Diaries.

Accola grew up in Edgewood, just south of Orlando, Florida. Her father, Kevin, is a cardio-vascular and thoracic surgeon and her mother, Carolyn, was formerly an environmental engineer before becoming a homemaker. Both her parents are active member of the local Republican political party. She has one younger brother.

In her early teens, Accola found a talent agent in California. Then, in the middle of her junior year at Lake Highland Preparatory School, she moved to Los Angeles. Six months later she had a deal for a CD called It’s Always the Innocent Ones. She finished high school through correspondence and graduated with her class in 2005. Accola appeared in her first movie, Pirate Camp, in 2007. Accola has guest starred on popular TV series How I Met Your Mother, Supernatural and Greek. She has also appeared in films such as On The Doll, Juno, Deadgirl and X's & O's.

Accola is continued her professional singing and has appeared as a background singer in the movies Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert and Hannah Montana: The Movie.

She currently appears as Caroline Forbes in the TV series The Vampire Diaries.

Accola's future projects include Kingshighway and The Truth About Angels.
