He had a heart bypass in 1994. Took a years leave of absence to rebuild his health.
Is a supporter of numerous liberal causes and organizations, such as Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting and Take Back America, an organization that helps to elect Democrats to public office. Other people of note who have spoken at Take Back America conferences include Rev.
