First ever female to anchor a news broadcast on a major network when she and 'Harry Reasoner' (qv) were co-anchors on _"ABC Evening News" (1953)_ (qv) in 1976.
Graduated from Miami Beach Senior High School in Miami Beach, Florida.
In 2007, Forbes Magazine estimated her earnings for the year at $12 million.
While in college, she dated 'Roy M. Cohn' (qv), who later gained fame as the right-hand man to notorious Red-baiting Senator 'Joseph McCarthy (II)' (qv).
