April Lerman was born on February 6, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois and became famous for her role as Kate in the 1st National Tour of "Annie" and then in the movie version of the musical in 1982. She can also be seen in other popular 1980s -1990s sitcoms such as "Charles in Charge," "Kate and Allie" and her role as "Classy Juliet" on "Growing Pains."
