Anil Kapoor played Kamistanian President Omar Hassan during Season 8 of 24.

He is widely recognized in America for first international role, in Danny Boyle's Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire (2008). Prior to that he worked in over one-hundred Bollywood films and productions and became a very famous actor in India. Several of his major Indian roles include N. Chandra's Tezaab (1988); Indra Kumar's Beta (1992); Virasat (1997); Biwi No.1 (1999); Taal (1999); Pukar (2000); No Entry (2005); and Welcome (2007).
