- Spent six months learning the Navajo for role in _Windtalkers (2002)_ (qv).
- Nominated for Best Actor at the 2007 American Indian Film Festival for his performance in _Luna: Spirit of the Whale (2007) (TV)_ (qv).
- Lost both his parents in separate accidents, only months apart, when he was 8 years old.
