Even outside of her show Tina Fey digs at NBC (TVSquad) - 56 minutes ago
FeyEvery week we can be guaranteed that Tina Fey and the people at 30 Rock will make fun of NBC in some way, whether it's product placement or The Jay Leno Show or last night's line about the green NBC peacock in the corner of the screen. Fey also isn't shy about dumping on NBC when she's away from the show either.

The other night she gave a speech at an Ad Council meeting at the Waldorf in New York. Her barbs were mostly about NBC's ratings, including pointing out that "NBC is sadly the fourth-place network. Actually we're in ninth place if you count the radio stations ahead of us right now." She also suggested that if the 1200 people in the audience watched NBC for just one night there would be a huge jump in the ratings.

I've been wondering what will happen if and when Comcast takes over NBC. Will they still have the HQ at 30 Rock? Will the show still be called 30 Rock? Fey suggested a new title: Industrial Park on the Schuyikill River.

Try to guess what this commercial is all about (TVSquad) - 1 hour ago
The commercial is 38 seconds long. Try to figure out what it's about before it's revealed around the 25 second mark. It's filmed like an investigative news report or maybe an old cop show. Are those hookers? Who jumps out of the van? What's with the gross blob guy?

Fox News caught using wrong footage ... again (TVSquad) - 1 hour ago
Remember the old saying, "Fool me once (awkward pause), shame on (another awkward pause), shame on you (another longer and more awkward pause). Fool me, we can't get fooled again"?

Less than a week after Fox News host and conservative pundit Sean Hannity apologized for accidentally using the wrong footage from Glenn Beck's "9/12 Rally" as footage for Rep. Michelle Bachmann's "Super Bowl of Freedom" rally, the network used the wrong footage in another story. This time, they used the wrong footage for a story on the "crowds" that showed up during Sarah Palin's book tour.

Think Progress, a blog created by the liberal think tank the Center for American Progress, discovered the footage. The dead giveaway was the "Country First" campaign signs indicating the footage was taken during Palin's campaign run with John McCain back in 2008. The network called the clip mix-up a mistake and issued another apology. Hold on, are we sure that they aired the right apology this time?

Cheech and Chong and ... Ann Coulter?!? (TVSquad) - 2 hours ago
First there was the Lincoln-Douglas debate. Then came the Nixon-Kennedy debate. Now Fox News' Geraldo Rivera continues that great American tradition of the public debate with the Cheech and Chong-Coulter debate.

It might sound like the world's most lopsided episode of Celebrity Deathmatch, but the world's most famous pot comedy duo squared off against the famed conservative pundit on Rivera's "Geraldo at Large" show recently to discuss the opening of the country's first cannibus club in Portland, Oregon and the legalization of marijuana. Despite the craziness of the casting, they actually have a very frank, civilized and enlightening discussion on the subject.

What You Missed Last Night: Jimmy Fallon almost gets sued by Twilight producers (TVSquad) - 2 hours ago
The entire time I watched this clip from last night's Late Night, I was thinking, "if Taylor Lautner smashes into a wall face-first or falls off of the mini-bike and cracks his head open, Fallon is going to be in big trouble." The two guys raced around the NBC hallways on mini-bikes. The winner wins because he cheats.

Granderson has Stadium Secrets to share (TVSquad) - 3 hours ago
curtis_granderson_detroit_tigersLately, Detroit Tiger all-star outfielder Curtis Granderson has been in the news because he might be joining the New York Yankees. However, if Major League Baseball free agency doesn't make him a household name, television might. Granderson has an idea for a reality series that's being shopped around now and it's not like anything else other athletes have pitched.

Granderson's series is called Stadium Secrets and it will be like History Channel's Cities of the Underworld. In fact, it might be suited to the History Channel. Granderson would host the show and lead viewers into the inner recesses and hidden passages of famous stadia around the world -- although it'll probably start with American locations.

NBC dusts off Trauma's corpse (TVSquad) - 4 hours ago
Oh my God! It's a zombie! Quick! Get a shovel or something heavy that will remove a human head or destroy its brain! Yes, TV shows can become zombies too.

NBC has revived its once doomed drama Trauma giving it a full 13 episode order plus a few more after they canceled it last month.

What made the network breathe life back into the expensive action drama? Apparently the show saw a brief boost in the ratings and NBC had a change of heart, assuming of course that they have one in the first place.

Review: FlashForward - Believe (TVSquad) - 5 hours ago
Takeuchi Yuko(S01E09) I've thought since the beginning that Bryce was more one of the more intriguing characters on the series. The fact that he was on the verge of suicide when he had his flashforward was indicative of some deeper hurts that we hadn't explored yet, but this week he finally got his due. We also got to meet the mystery woman from his vision, and now his sketches.

I've also realized that a lot of you are right about one thing. The character of Mark Benford isn't working for me anymore. He's a dick through and through, and he absolutely proved that this week in how he handled trying to track down some information.

In fact, even though Olivia's a little better than Mark, I'd say the "first family" of FlashForward are the two least likable or interesting characters on the show. I think the drama may have been better served by having Mark die in Al's place a couple of weeks ago.

TV's Coolest Moments: Barney's Alter Ego, Palin's Sit-down with Oprah and More! (TVGuide) - 5 hours ago

Neil Patrick Harris, Sarah Palin | Photo Credits: Eric McCandless/CBS

15. Worst Reveal: After five head-scratching hours of AMC's The Prisoner, we learn that The Village basically exists inside the brain of Two's wife back in the real world. After Two's son, 11-12, kills his mom and hangs himself, a distraught Two (aka Mr. Curtis) convinces Six and the rest of the villagers that Six is the new leader and 313 is the dreamer whose brain will keep the utopia alive. So Six is No. 1? Wait, he's dressed like Two? Oh, who cares really?

14. Best Reveal: How does Sons of Anarchy top Gemma's announcement that she's been raped? A guilt-ridden Tig tells Opie how and why Donna was killed. In a satisfying twist, a raging Opie shows mercy on Stahl and vows to keep the secret from the other brothers for the sake of the club.

13. Least Sincere Invitation: After vigorous prompting by Oprah Winfrey, Sarah Palin concedes that...

Chuck to return in January (TVSquad) - 5 hours ago
ChuckChuck will be returning to the airwaves on NBC on Sunday January 10th at 8 PM. The third season will start with a two-hour premiere and then the show will be on again the following night in its regular timeslot right after Heroes. This is three hours of Chuck over two days.

The pity is that Chuck is actually a good show and Heroes hasn't been as such since the first season. Perhaps Heroes should be the lead-in for Chuck? With the boost in the number of episodes and the guest-stars galore slated for the coming season, it's a very exciting time to be a Chuckaholic like me. This could also be a sign that NBC is giving more support for Chuck and less for the dying Heroes.

Zachary Levi is great in his role and Yvonne Strahovski is much fun to look at, but what really makes the show is Adam Baldwin. Perhaps John Casey should get his own show? Nah. He's better as a foil for Chuck Bartowski.

Review: Community - Environmental Science (TVSquad) - 5 hours ago
Community: Environmental Science(S01E10) Hey, Jeff was kind of a selfish douche and then at the end he became a good person and did the right thing. Quick game: which episode am I describing?

I know I've complained about the predictability of this plot procedure in every episode, but for some reason it worked this week. Probably because even in the execution of it, you could see that Jeff had at least gained a sense of loyalty to his study group. In other words, he felt bad about what he was doing from the beginning. He still did it, but somehow that made all the difference.

I think the more shocking development was that Pierce offered to help Shirley with an upcoming speech she had to give, and she actually accepted. He also learned the "secret" to Jeff's power over the group, though I still think it's just confidence.

Family Matters meets The Young and the Restless ... casting wise (TVSquad) - 5 hours ago
eddie_winslow_headshotIt's taken a while, but The Young and the Restless has finally filled a role that's been vacant for too long. No, David Hasselhoff is not coming back as Snapper Foster. The role of Malcolm Winters is returning and Darius McCrary's got the Y&R role. Malcolm, the dynamic younger brother of Neil Winters, has been missing in action for a while because the previous actor in the part, Shemar Moore, has become a star in primetime.

The Winters family is an important element in the Y&R canvas and they've missed Malcolm. Shemar was asked to come back, but with his success on Criminal Minds, there simply wasn't time in his schedule for both shows. Truth be told, there probably wasn't enough money to compel him to work that hard. So,while the fans might have liked Shemar back, they'll have to get used to a new face instead.

Star Trek collectibles multiply in time for Black Friday (TVSquad) - 6 hours ago
The Spock teddy bear wants you to live long and snuggle. Can shoes or cologne be considered fanboy collectibles? We'll find out together as a very different breed of Star Trek collectibles arrives in time for the post-Thanksgiving gift buying frenzy.

J.J. Abrams made Trek sexy again -- especially the original TV show from the 1960s. So Paramount and CBS put their marketing and licensing people to work. What did they come up with from just inside the Windsor Gate on Melrose?

The Vermont Teddy Bear Company
is offering shorter, furrier versions of Captain James T. Kirk and Mr. Spock (right) for about $100 each. I've acquired one of these, and they're well made with a lot of attention to detail in their little uniforms.

Also, make sure you check out the Airwalk Terrain Hi Skate Star Trek StarFleet Edition sneakers from Payless. For $50, you get a really well-made urban sneaker that just happens to bear a Starfleet insignia. And they come in the departmental uniform colors of the original Enterprise crew -- gold, blue and red.

Review: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - The DENNIS System (TVSquad) - 7 hours ago
always sunny dennis system
(S05E10)
A weird thing has been happening this season, where I find myself really appreciating what the writers have been doing with the gang but I'm not laughing nearly as much as I should. This episode was a prime example of that. Dennis is notorious for his way with women, so hearing a full breakdown of the DENNIS System should have been a complete riot (a riot with cringing, sure). I smiled at certain parts and quietly enjoyed the scary-elaborate ways of Dennis and the rest of the gang, though ultimately, the laughs fell short. Perhaps things are feeling a little forced this season?

Trust in the douchiness of your characters and the chemistry of your actors, writers! The lines will come.

Review: The Office - Shareholder Meeting (TVSquad) - 7 hours ago
Steve Carell in The Office: Shareholder Meeting(S06E11) You know a company is doomed when it parades Michael Scott in front of its shareholders as an example of its best and brightest. But, as we saw from Michael today, his sales skills only take him so far.

You really, really wanted to see him pull a plan out of that savantish mind of his that would have saved Dunder Mifflin. At least I did. But, thankfully for the show's writers, that was never going to happen.

The interesting thing about this episode, though? The shareholders meeting plot was just OK. What I really wanted to see was more of Jim devising ways to assert his authority around the office. That was much funnier, and it was a small reminder of what attracted people to the show to begin with: small, real-life situations everyone who's ever sat in a cubicle could relate to.

Discovery roars into December with Clash of the Dinosaurs (TVSquad) - 8 hours ago
Discovery Channel will be throwing dinosaurs at each other for the holidays. As December rolls around, your kids will want to watch the usual line-up of holiday specials. But, I'm guessing they wouldn't mind watching a T-Rex hunt down and tuck into a Triceratops, whatever the time of year.

Discovery Channel will put cutting-edge imaging technology to bring giant lizards to life inside and out with Clash of the Dinosaurs. Premiering December 6 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), the four-part series looks inside the body of a dinosaur to with cinematic photo-real 3D graphics.

According to Discovery's announcement, consulting anatomy and paleontology experts help to peel back the skin, muscles and bones of the creatures to show how they thrived. So, on second thought, maybe the kids should stick with A Year without a Santa Claus.

'Bones' Fan Columnist: Spontaneous Combustion or Killed by a Nose? (BuddyTV) - 8 hours ago

Nicole Bessette, our Bones Fan Columnist, recaps "The Foot and the Foreclosure." If you're interested in becoming a Fan Columnist click here

Alright, so I'm just gonna come out and say it: this week's murder was really weird.  I mean, don't get me wrong, the promo with Booth and Bones finding a pile of ash and a human foot as the only remains of their murder victim sounded pretty cool, but the story behind it was a rather strange one if I do say so myself.

So basically, a real estate agent finds human remains on the bed in the master bedroom of a house she is trying to sell to some prospective buyers.  When the FBI is contacted and Booth and Bones show up, Bones is completely shocked at what she finds.  There is nothing but a large pile of ash and a woman's foot on the bed, leading Booth to believe that the cause of death was spontaneous combustion.  Oh, you gotta love him.
