  • The amusement park scenes were filmed at Wild Adventures Theme Park, located in Valdosta, Ga. There was an open call for locals to play extras for most of the scenes shot at Wild Adventures.
  • Both Evan Rachel Wood and 'Megan Fox' turned down the role of Wichita, while Amber Tamblyn auditioned.
  • The "Zombie kill of the Week" segment is evidence of the fact that this movie was originally supposed to be a TV series. The original plan of the producers was that every weekly episode would have it's own Zombie Kill of the Week performed by characters of the show.
  • Movie Goof (continuity error): In the theme park Columbus clearly runs out of ammo and resorts to using the hammer to kill the clown zombie, yet in the next scene in the shop he fires two shots into the Twinkie box when he hears rats
