• Marilyn Deutsch, Pete Ferryman, David Freitas (II), Jim Hyde, Kimberly Maus, and Kerry Tomlinson are actual newscasters from Portland, Oregon's KPTV Fox 12, and played themselves in the movie.
• When Jennifer finds the camera mounted on the car, you can see a brief clip from the blog section of killwithme.com and one of the comments, made by "clownz23", says she "holds a gun like a cop only hotter".
• The site used by the killer (www.killwithme.com) actually exists. It's owned by the movie studio and it's used to promote the movie. In it, users are taken to a replica of the FBI computer used by the character Jennifer Marsh. Her desktop gets hacked by the killer who provides the visitor with four test he/she must complete to deactivate his site.
• Movie Goof (crew or equipment visible): When the daughter looks out the window upon seeing her house on the computer, the crew can be seen on the far right of the screen through the window next to the one she is using.
