  • Jonny Lee Miller's character, Sick Boy, is obsessed with James Bond trivia. Miller is the grandson of Bernard Lee, who played "M" in the Bond series until 1979.
  • Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Renton lists the chemicals he took apart from heroin, he mentions diamorphine, which is actually heroin.
