The film centers on Darren Mullet, a bullied asthmatic, driven to suicide by his tormented life - ignored by his parents, ridiculed by his teachers and bullied at school. He returns from the dead to pay his teenage tormentors a final visit.

As mentioned in the DVD commentary, various people played different parts of Darren Mullet when Calvin Dean (II) was (I) in make-up or shooting a different scene. This was mainly for scenes just showing his hands.
According to the DVD commentary, when Darren Mullet suffocates Kalilah with a plastic sheet, Larissa Wilson actually had to be suffocated, as there was no way to do this using CGI.
Movie Goof (continuity error): During the sex scene between Alex Pettyfer and April Pearson, April Pearson is not wearing a shirt. However, as Alex Pettyfer is dragged out of the car, she is suddenly wearing her shirt again.
During the credits the song 'Lesbian Roadkill' is credited as being performed by Tantric Dwarf and being licensed by Crying While Wanking. This is in reference to the song being played by the character Nasser in the film. The song was in fact written especially for the film by Christian and Joe Henson.
