Movie Trivia/Goofs

  • When Tinker Bell is about to launch the balloon by sprinkling it with pixie dust, she takes a handful of dust from her pouch and weighs it in her hand before returning a portion to the bag. Her movements look just like those of Indiana Jones in the opening sequence of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark when he weighs out the sand from the bag he plans to use to replace the idol on the pedestal.
  • Movie Goof (revealing mistake): Rendering error: At the end of the movie, during the procession carrying the Fall Scepter to the tree: The second row of banner fairies are missing their wings in one sequence.
  • The film was originally slated for a direct-to-DVD release in the United States, but received a one-week theatrical run in Los Angeles, CA in order to qualify for the 2010 Oscars.
  • Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Terence and Tinkerbell first wind up the "motor" to the PixieDust Express near the beginning of the movie, it is shown that they use a paper clip and line to keep tension on the card-blades of the motor, to keep it from unwinding. However, considering the direction of rotation that they wound up the motor, the card-blades should have been pulling in the OPPOSITE direction/rotation of the winding, and not in the same direction, as presented.
