Movie Goof (factual errors): In the bar following the first round of the US Open, the Brickyard 400 NASCAR race is on the TVs. This race is held the first weekend of August every year; the US Open is always in June. Also, the first round is played on Thursday, not the weekend.
Movie Goof (continuity error): When Roy visits Molly at her office, his collar is sometimes well-adjusted and sometimes the left side larger then the right.
The grandparents and grandchild with a dog in the scene where Simms yells at them after asking for an autograph are played by Kevin Costner's parents, Sharon Costner and Bill Costner. The grandchild is played by his son, Joe Costner.
Movie Goof (continuity error): As Roy steps out of the trailer and talks to Molly, the hair over his forehead changes from inside the hat, to outside and in again between shots.
