• Every Boston Police cruiser shown in the film comes from the fictional district A-8, which also existed in Boston's Finest (2010) (TV).
• Movie Goof (continuity error): Towards the end of the film, Frawley receives a note under his FBI antenna. A few shots later, the antenna is in a different location on the rear window.
• Jeremy Renner decided to surround himself with actual convicted bank robbers in Charlestown for research reasons and to help him nail the accent.
• Movie Goof (continuity error): At the flower shop, you can see a bar across the street called "Fitzgerald's." Later in the movie, a shot of the flower shop at night shows the reflection of the same bar across the street, but the sign says "The Junction", the real name of the Southie bar where the scene was filmed.
