The Tailor of Panama

Movie (2001)

A British spy is banished to Panama after having an affair with an ambassador's mistress. Once there he makes connection with a local tailor with a nefarious past and connections to all of the top political and gangster figures in Panama. The tailor also has a wife, who works for the Panamanian president and a huge debt. The mission is to learn what the President intends to do with the Canal.

Movie Trivia/Goofs

Movie Goof (continuity error): When Andy is dancing with Francesca for the first time at the outdoor bar/restaurant, her sunglasses at one point are almost completely falling off the back of her head; when the shot moves to close up, they are back on the top of her head.
SPOILER: The character of Andy Osnard was originally meant to be killed by Harry Pendel at the end of the film. Ultimately, however, director John Boorman thought that such an action would cast a pall on the character of Harry, and that it would be far more realistic for Osnard to get away with it.
Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Savile Row, a street famous for its tailoring establishments in central London and mentioned many times in the film, is misspelled "Saville" on the computer screen that Osnard scans on the flight.
Movie Goof (factual errors): SPOILER: Abraxas presumably committed suicide by shooting himself on his right temple since the gun is in his right hand and we only see blood on right side of his head. The bullet hole on the wooden chair should therefore be on the other side of his head.
