• Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Carmen throws the rock at the window, the rock hits the window's left side, though the window shatters in the center.
• Movie Goof (continuity error): The position of the price sticker on Tibby's head changes positions between shots from when she first sticks it on her head and when she's shown again.
• Director Ken Kwapis never used the traditional phrase "Action!" to begin the actors' performance on set. Instead he said, "Quiet, please, and um, uh, g'head." This method was much more relaxed and allowed the actors to begin at their own pace. However, he did get teased about it - someone even printed up bright orange T-shirts quoting him and handed them out to the crew.
• Movie Goof (errors in geography): The stars that Tibby and Bailey watch cannot be seen from Bethesda, Maryland, where Washington, DC, city lights blind the sky. The stars are really a studio mock-up in Vancouver, British Columbia.
