  • Movie Goof (factual errors): The standard sidearm of the Secret Service is the SIG Sauer P229 chambered for .357 SIG rounds. The sidearms used in the movie by the agents are clearly SIG Sauer P228s, which are only available chambered in 9mm rounds.
  • Movie Goof (continuity error): When Pete calls the First Lady, he asks her to provide him with an list of names and password from the people of the Secret Service. Minutes later in the film, it is revealed that Pete has logged on to the Secret Service Network using someone else's password. We never see or hear how exactly the First Lady gave Pete the list, if she did at all.
  • Movie Goof (errors in geography): When Pete takes a phone call outside the Mayflower Hotel and the caller tells him to go to Massachusetts Avenue, then walk to 12th street, Pete goes the wrong way down Connecticut Avenue. He walks toward L Street. Massachusetts Avenue is in the opposite direction, up Connecticut Avenue.
  • In the behind-the-scenes featurette, the Secret Service consultant for the movie stated that 'Eva Longoria' far surpassed the other actors in "shooting school". In fact, he remarked that her score would beat about 90% of members of the Secret Service. Longoria mentioned that when she was younger she often accompanied her father to the gun range, so being around and handling guns wasn't new to her.
