When Moses and God are conversing, Val Kilmer is actually talking to himself
The production team conferred with roughly 600 religious experts to make the film as accurate as possible.
There are only five people who play both the singing and speaking parts of the characters. They are Ralph Fiennes (Rameses), Michelle Pfeiffer (Tzipporah), Martin Short (Huy), Steve Martin (Hotep), and Ofra Haza (Yocheved). All the other parts have different singers from their speakers.
Movie Goof (continuity error): When Moses is dragged by the camel, his arm is looped through a brown bag filled with water. Just before his head hits the well, his arm is looped through a red strap.
