The studio originally wanted the film to receive a PG-13 rating but John Moore (V) insisted on an R-rating, suggesting people would "smell a cop-out" if a remake of The Omen was to receive a family friendly certificate.
Movie Goof (errors in geography): The view along the front of the American Embassy shows the London Eye and Big Ben in the distance. Neither of these landmarks are actually visible from this location.
Movie Goof (continuity error): SPOILER: When Robert Thorn escapes in the car with Damien to take him to the church to kill him, the damage caused by Mrs Baylock and from his evasive driving varies from shot to shot.
The teaser trailer was actually Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick's screen test.
